Since 2004 I have been working on WorldForge content as a side project.. I have contributed to the project with characters, scripting and environment work, mainly environment and ambient objects. The tool set used for the project are Blender 3D and Softimage. Though personally tastes I lean more towards Blender because it is cross platform and it is Open Source. Personal preference are the big three DCC applications. The tech demo was created with Unity 3D.
Majority of the content was generated in Softimage and some in Blender, then ported through Maya via DotXSI.
For simple interaction like doors opening and paying sounds Java script was used.
